Can a bathtub stop you in your tracks?
There’s something to be said about innovation in materials because now we can have a transparent bathtub! And no… I never thought to myself that I really wanted a transparent tub but now that it exists, I don’t see why I wouldn’t want one.
After much research and development, Italian designer Antonio Lupi has created a new material called Cristalmood. Transparent with a glossy finish, composed of high quality polyester resin and coloring pigments, it has passed the anti-corrosion tests (salt spray) and can be cleaned with all the most common detergents. And… bonus points… thanks to the composition, objects made from Cristalmood weigh about 30% less than those made with solid surfaces.
If you have a bathroom with lots of natural light, this bathtub would be such a showstopper! As you look at this images, you’ll see the colour (already something so beautiful - any of the 6 colours are magic) and with light all around, you’ll see shadows and reflections and transparencies in and around the tub. It will definitely make your bathroom more intriguing. Such a beautiful tub!
