Just like last year, and the year before that... There are new interior design trends coming up in 2024! You’ll see them pop up in online blogs (like this one), on social media, in design magazines and especially in home stores everywhere!

So let’s give you a quick rundown of what colours to expect in 2024.

Colour Palettes

Retro and Muted is in.

And one of the biggest trends is a retro colour palette. It's muted and vintage. Look for colours like forest green, mustard yellow, salmon pink. Warmer wood grains too.

Blue is Best.

With Benjamin Moore's Colour of the Year selection of Blue Nova, along with a whole slew of other paint companies declaring blue their own choice for color of the year, blue is always a popular interior colour because it's calming and serene. And we all need that in our lives. Serenity now!!!

Forever Green.

The other colour that has been trending in the last few years is our love of green. It's symbolic of our love of nature and reflective of a biophilic design trend where natural materials are preferred and organic, imperfect shapes are important.

Gray is out.

Gray colour palettes are on their way out, especially cool gray interiors that feel impersonal and unimaginative. Instead, colour plalettes are moving towards warmer colour palettes with more warmth, more of a cozy feel and more personality.

Design Trends

We all love different styles and colours and today's home design style is actually very individualistic. We mix styles all the time. And that's because of trends we've adopted along the way over time and created what is now a very eclectic look for our homes.
